It's Financial Planning Week!
This week sees the annual promotion of Financial Planning Week. Co-ordinated by the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP) it is a national campaign to raise awareness amongst the general public of the importance of planning personal finances.
The website can be found at www.financialplanningweek.org.uk and has many tips and tools for helping people to start taking steps towards organising their finances in order. The campaigns main focus is to bring to people’s attention the importance and benefits of taking control of their finances. The website states-
“Financial Planning might sound like something for the wealthy, but in reality it is something we all should be doing regardless of our current financial position, if we are to make the most of our lives. Financial Planning involves working out what is most important to you in life - your goals. Then by adding timescales and costs, you can work out how to get where you want to be in life by planning your finances accordingly.
